See How They Run!
Â
Pitlochry Festival Theatre is delighted to announce that it's third play to preview in it's Summer Season of six plays is See How They Run! by Philip King, one of the greatest farces of all time.  Merton-cum-Middlewick, 1942: the inhabitants are braced for an imminent Nazi invasion. But Miss Skillon, the spinsterish village busybody, considers that a far greater danger threatens the Reverend Lionel Toop. Not only is his new young wife Penelope thoroughly ‘modern' - and worse, an actress - but Miss S. is also convinced she's . . . having an affair . . .

"When staying in Pitlochry during the early part of the war, I chanced to see a stately house with a fairly large garden, quite close to the town. I at once realised that here my dream theatre might well be established in this fashionable resort right in the heart of Scotland"… John Stewart, Founder of Pitlochry Festival Theatre.
