A unique, theatrical phenomenon in the heart of Perthshire

Attracting over 100,000 people each year, Pitlochry Festival Theatre (PFT) is a unique, theatrical phenomenon in the heart of Perthshire.

This Summer, this famous festival of theatre is once again producing and performing 6 excellent shows, all of which are played in daily rotation, which means you can see a different show every day, two on Wednesdays and Saturdays, as well as selected dates in September!

PFT is famous for large scale productions, delivered to international standards, with multitudes of sumptuous costumes, exquisitely detailed sets (that quite often get a round of applause!) in a setting that is picture-postcard. It makes a perfect day or nights entertainment or as many of those who already attend, a superb short break. Many stay 6 days and see 6 plays. Or, how about 3 plays in 2 days, plus walking, golfing, shopping…

There’s more. Every Autumn (Oct to Nov) and Christmas (late Nov to Dec) we produce and perform productions that we hope both surprise and delight audiences. Previous Autumn shows have included The Steamie, Our Man In Havana, The Ladykillers and at Christmas, musicals such as: White Christmas, Scrooge! and Miracle On 34th Street.

And finally, we also have a year round programme of tours, talks, concerts, events, music and workshops.

From contemporary comedies to period drama, to musicals and concerts, tours and talks, there is certainly something to suit every taste.
