Pitlochry Festival Theatre, the UK’s only daily repertoire producer, is looking for a versatile and skilled Associate Director to join the team at Scotland’s famous Theatre in the Hills.
Offered initially on a fixed-term, 23-month contract, the Associate Director post will cover a range of duties and responsibilities, encompassing in-house production and elements of Creative Learning, visiting company programming, artistic administration and external representation. It is hoped that the successful applicant will be able to start work at PFT in September or October of 2017
With experience of directing high quality productions of work drawn from a broad range of periods, genres and styles, supported by knowledge of current Creative Learning practice and the management of programmes of presented work, PFT’s new Associate Director will need to be versatile and flexible, an engaging and inspiring communicator, someone who excels at working in partnership with diverse groups of people and who has the ambition to make a positive contribution to PFT’s creative aspirations.
Working within a busy, complex organisation, which creates a greater number of mid- to large-scale in-house productions each year than any other Scottish building and which operates a repertoire production system unique within the UK, this new post will offer a particular opportunity to those interested in becoming the creative leader of a producing building in the future.
All previous applications for this post will be re-considered, so prior applicants need not re-apply.
Salary: £28,000 p.a.
