Artist Opportunities
Initiatives at Pitlochry Festival Theatre that enable artists to meet other creatives and work collaboratively or individually on their arts projects.
Inspiration Hour
We are offer artists the opportunity to sit in the Theatre’s main Auditorium or Studio for an hour of quiet thinking. We hope this space allows you to meditate in a working theatre environment and generate new ideas.
For more information please email Deborah Dickinson (Producer) on deborah.dickinson@pitlochryfestivaltheatre.com
Artist Workspaces
We are excited to welcome you to our new space in the front of house area where you can quietly work against the backdrop of the Tummel and the wondrous Ben-Y-Vrackie, as well as getting to know other local artists too. This space is also very close to our new indoor play area and free wi-fi is available.
For more information please email Deborah Dickinson (Producer) on deborah.dickinson@pitlochryfestivaltheatre.com
Artist Meetups
Our Front of House is made available for artists to meet informally and have discussions about new ideas and offer support to others in the artistic community.
For more information please email Deborah Dickinson (Producer) on deborah.dickinson@pitlochryfestivaltheatre.com
Free to Create
This is an open invitation for people to gather to share ideas and play in a rehearsal room environment.
To discuss any of these opportunities please email Deborah Dickinson (Producer) on deborah.dickinson@pitlochryfestivaltheatre.com
Artist Open Days
All artists are welcome to come and join us for our Artist Open Days to discuss schemes, projects, ideas, and ways for you to work with us! Our next Open Day will be Tuesday 19th March at 13.30 until 14.30.
You do not need to book for this, please come to box office on arrival.
We will announce our next Artist Open day soon – please keep checking this page and our social media channel for more information.
Writers Room
The Writers Room is up at our Port-Na-Craig rehearsal studios – a short walk from our main theatre. This room is cosy, has two desks, plenty of comfy chairs and a good stock of books for inspiration if needed! Loch Faskally is a very short wander from the room. There is also a kitchen on site which anyone using the room is welcome to use.
We are running a series of online writing sessions for writers looking for a collective space to write, exchange ideas, and be inspired. These sessions run from 11.30am to 4pm, and you can drop in and out of the session to check in with others throughout the day.
Our next series of online sessions will happen on 13 March, 17 April and 15 May.
To discuss new ideas and/or book the Writers Room or online sessions, please email Deborah Dickinson (Producer) on deborah.dickinson@pitlochryfestivaltheatre.com
