White Christmas

White Christmas
Following the huge success of its large-scale musical productions in recent years - My Fair Lady, Kiss Me, Kate and Whisky Galore- A Musical! - PFT is delighted to bring to Scotland`s theatre-goers the Scottish première production of Irving Berlin’s White Christmas – The Musical: the greatest Christmas show ever! When Broadway song-and-dance stars Bob Wallace and Phil Davis discover that their old commanding officer from World War Two, General Waverley, is struggling to make a go of running an inn in Vermont, they decide there`s only one thing to do – take their spectacular new show to the Columbia Inn and drum up some much needed business. Little do they know that they are destined to end up in a tangled romantic quartet under the mistletoe with two singing sisters! With an ensemble of 20 talented performers and a dynamic 10 piece orchestra, this sparkling stage adaptation of the classic 1954 movie (starring Bing Crosby, Danny Kaye, Rosemary Clooney and Vera-Ellen) is packed with classic Irving Berlin hits like Snow, Sisters, Blue Skies, What Can You Do With A General?, How Deep Is The Ocean, The Old Man and the unforgettable title song, White Christmas. The show will feature the largest set ever to appear on the PFT stage - quite something when you consider PFT already enjoys an international reputation for producing huge, lavish musicals - and over 140 dazzling period costumes, made to the finest detail and highest standards. For the thousands of fans of musicals at PFT, this promises to be the best yet! So make Christmas 2012 the one you’ve been dreaming of: book your ticket to see Irving Berlin’s White Christmas – The Musical today!

From 1951 to the 21st Century...

Discover our history "When staying in Pitlochry during the early part of the war, I chanced to see a stately house with a fairly large garden, quite close to the town. I at once realised that here my dream theatre might well be established in this fashionable resort right in the heart of Scotland"… John Stewart, Founder of Pitlochry Festival Theatre.
