Once upon a Crime

Sun 12 August | Pitlochry Youth Theatre & Dance show | £5.00 Adult, £2.50 Under 18

For the first time in PFT’s history, our youth theatre and dance groups will join forces and perform together on the mainstage.
This is an exciting chance to see and support this brilliant, new, theatre-making generation.

During a week long intensive rehearsal period the Youth Theatre, Youth Dance AND new participants aged 6-16 years will create a ‘play in a week’ and perform it on our mainstage.

Our aim is to have our ensemble of young performers work alongside our professional in-house team to create a brand new show: Once Upon a Crime.

Taking our Summer Season as inspiration we will look at murder, mystery and mayhem from the perspective of well-known nursery rhyme characters. Did Humpty Dumpty fall or was he pushed? Was Little Red Riding Hood an innocent little girl or a blood thirsty terror desperate for a new wolf fur coat? Is the big bad wolf really all that bad? And why was Goldilocks really in the three bears’ house?

An ingenious new twist on the land of fairy tales and fables – Once Upon a Crime will be a hilarious parody show the whole family will enjoy.

Tickets for the performance on Sun 12 August can be purchased HERE.
