Marion Douglas was born in Glasgow but now lives in Dunblane. She enrolled in the Glasgow School of Art in the early eighties and studied under a number of well known tutors. At the same time she taught, on a voluntary basis, Art Therapy at a local hospital. She is particularly inspired by the Scottish Colourists and her work is an eclectic mix of Scottish land and seascapes. She is now delighted to have a second solo exhibition in the River Room at the Pitlochry Festival Theatre, where she has also displayed her work on a regular basis. She is an artist member of the Paisley Art Institute and her work has been exhibited in a number of galleries throughout Scotland for example Edinburgh, Dundee, Gourock and locally in Dunblane alongside many other venues. Marion has been successful not only in the U.K but also in collections abroad. She is also a regular contributor to various charity shows in Scotland.
