Chicago’s Mama Morton draws Annual Lottery

Pitlochry Festival Theatre’s annual lottery draw was made on Wednesday, 10 October with entrants vying for their chance of three fantastic prizes!

From almost 1500 entries, the lucky winners of the £2,000 first prize came from Argyll; the second prize of a two-night hotel break, plus dinner, bed and breakfast, and theatre tickets, courtesy of the Atholl Palace Hotel, went to a winner in Edinburgh; and third prize - a case of Aberfeldy 12 year old malt, kindly donated by Dewar’s Aberfeldy Distillery - is indeed whisking its way to Blantyre.

The theatre would like to thank the Atholl Palace Hotel and Dewar’s Aberfeldy Distillery for their sponsorship of the annual lottery.

The draw was pulled by Irene-Myrtle Forrester, Pitlochry Festival Theatre’s very own Mama Morton from Chicago. Before dashing off to perform in the afternoon’s matinee, Irene told us:

“It was wonderful to be asked to make this draw today. I’ve just loved being part of the theatre family here and come to think of Pitlochry as home. Being a little part of this lottery collaboration between local businesses was great fun for me. With Chicago having one more week to go after the rest of the Season finishes on Saturday, it’s going to be really sad to leave everyone, and this Perthshire beauty, behind.”

To be in with your chance of winning such fabulous prizes next year, make sure you get your name down on the theatre mailing list for the 2019 Season brochure which will carry the lottery ticket entry details direct to your door!
