Banff Mountain Film Returns

The world’s most prestigious mountain film festival returns to Winter Words on Saturday 11 February with an extraordinary collection of short films – a must-see for anyone with a spirit of adventure!

Following last year’s sell-out event, Pitlochry Festival Theatre (PFT) have expanded the Festival to incorporate two entirely different programmes (2pm & 7pm).  Each short film features incredible adventurers, amazing adrenaline-packed action sports, stunning scenery and thought-provoking pieces shot in the far flung reaches of the globe.

The UK tour is part of the wider Banff World Tour, which travels the globe each year, visiting nearly 50 countries and reaching more than 400,000 people worldwide.

Amongst the films being screened is the captivating Doing It Scared, which features adventurer Paul Pritchard, whose attempt to climb the infamous Totem Pole sea stack in Tasmania left him partially paralysed. He returns to the scene, determined to scale it again. In this awe-inspiring film, we discover if he succeeds. . .

The evening show now has limited availability – book now to avoid disappointment! Call 01796 484 626 or book online by clicking here.

For even more adventure, why not attend Paul Diffley’s How To Make An Adventure Film on Friday 10th February, 7.30pm? Attend this talk and both screenings of Banff for just £30.00! Call Box Office to take advantage of this special offer.
