Trio of concerts weekend at Pitlochry

Pitlochry Festival Theatre offers a bumper crop of concerts this coming weekend, 6-8 February, with Big Girls Don’t Cry, celebrating the music of Frankie Valli and The Four Seasons, Masters of the House, a feast of well-loved songs from the movies, musicals and more, followed by a journey through the songs and history of the much-loved Simon and Garfunkel, Through the Years, all at 7pm.

Thursday, 6 February brings the iconic sounds of Frankie Valli and The Four Seasons authentically recreated by a phenomenal cast and live band. During the sixties and seventies, number one hits Sherry, December 1963 (Oh What a Night) and of course, Big Girls Don’t Cry helped propel the group to super stardom. The concert showcases Frankie’s incredible falsettos, and features his solo hits like Grease, Let’s Hang On, Working My Way Back to You, and Who Loves You.

On Friday, 7 February, take a spectacular journey through the world of musical theatre and movies featuring former stars from Les Misérables, Phantom of the Opera, Sunset Boulevard and other hit West End musicals, performing in concert.

The show is constantly being updated with songs selected from the very best of popular musical theatre and iconic movies such as favourites from Blood Brothers, West Side Story, Miss Saigon, Evita, Wicked and Joseph as well as a dip into the James Bond and Disney songbooks. Guaranteed highlights include rousing show medleys celebrating Les Misérables and The Greatest Showman.

Critically acclaimed as one of the world’s greatest tribute shows, Simon and Garfunkel - Through The Years continues the weekend, Saturday, 8 February, featuring stunning vocal harmonies, in a spectacular concert celebrating the incredible rise to fame of two boys from Queens, New York who would go on to become the most successful folk-rock duo of the 1960s through hits such as The Sound of Silence, Mrs. Robinson, The Boxer and the iconic Bridge Over Troubled Water.
