It’s Party Time in Pitlochry

Pitlochry Festival Theatre are holding their first Summer Party this Sunday, 15 September, 11am to 4pm with a wide range of FREE activities to kick-back and have a fun-filled day - throughout the building, on the stage, across the lawns and around the Explorers Garden too!

It’s a family affair, with lots of games, including a Bouncy Castle, Giant Connect 4, Giant Jenga, a Coconut Shy, Face Painting, kid’s dress-up corner - AND for grown-ups with a Photo Booth. There are whisky and gin tastings From Dewars of Aberfeldy and Persie Gin, a Fire Engine onsite, a Celebrity Bingo trail, and lots more…

And it’s ALL FREE! Visitors are just recommended to book for events with limited places: Ceilidh dancing, Garden and Backstage tours - including going on stage with current show set – and children’s Bookbug, storytelling sessions in the yurt

There are competitions too. Remember Stars In Their Eyes? Come dressed as your favourite pop-star (and don’t forget Cliff Richard, in a nod to Summer Holiday!), and Design A Party Hat. If you haven’t made yours already, you can make and wear on the day! There’ll be a Parade and Prizes at 3.30pm.

It’s an all-day affair too. But don’t worry if you get hungry, renowned MacDonald’s Butchers and Hettie’s Tearooms will be selling yummy BBQ food and drink!

Artistic director Elizabeth Newman explains:

“We’re throwing open our doors and our arms to everyone! We wanted to say thank you to the town and hello to new friends with free theatre and other activities for residents and visitors to enjoy. It will give us a chance to really celebrate our loyal supporters and hopefully welcome new people to Pitlochry. We really hope you’ll come and visit us.”

All of the theatre staff have been brainstorming and working away on plans for probably the best Summer Party... EVER!

All you have to do is come along… and join in.
