It’s Welly-time at Pitlochry!

It’s time to go wild in your wellies at Pitlochry Festival Theatre this weekend, with children’s whimsical adventure, Four Go Wild In Wellies pitching up on stage on Saturday, 9 March at 12pm.

An original, musical and engaging show for children aged 3-5 years and their families, the story features bobble hats, scarves, tents that have a life of their own, in a playful look at how friendships are built broken and mended, and starring, of course, plenty of wellies!

One of The Guardian’s top 50 shows from the Edinburgh Fringe in 2018, Four Go Wild In Wellies is presented by Indepen-dance4, Scotland’s inclusive company for disabled and non-disabled people, with a fast-growing reputation for innovative and high quality touring productions. Its four dancers - Hayley Earlam, Emma Smith, Neil Price (replaced by Blair Flucker for the Pitlochry Festival Theatre performance) and Adam Sloan - have worked with some of the UK’s leading choreographers and musicians over a number of years. The show has been created with the four dancers by award-winning director, Anna Newell (‘women who are changing the face of UK Theatre’ award 2017), award-winning composer David Goodall, designer Brian Hartley and choreographer Stevie Prickett. The creative team have worked together for more than 20 years and have created work for younger audiences that has toured as far afield as South Africa and off-Broadway.

Four Go Wild In Wellies is perfect for little ones: a beautifully simple and fun look at the usual playground rivalries, that re-focusses on the pure joy of inventiveness, curiosity and just being together!
