Opening next week . . .

World première of the stage adaptation of The Monarch Of The Glen opens next week.

Final preparations are being carried out at Pitlochry Festival Theatre in advance of the World Première of the stage adaptation of The Monarch Of The Glen which opens this Thursday, 7.30pm.

Memorably made into a BBC television series, this stage adaptation by Glasgow based playwright Peter Arnott, of Compton Mackenzie’s original classic 30s comedy, follows in the footsteps of Pitlochry’s 2016 autumn smash hit show Para Handy and a previous Compton Mackenzie adaptation of Whisky Galore – A Musical!

The 10 strong cast features Grant O’Rourke who is perhaps better known as Rupert MacKenzie in the Golden Globe and Emmy-nominated TV series, Outlander and Deirdre Davis, who played the part of Eileen Donachie in the BBC Scotland soap opera River City for almost 14 years.

The Monarch Of The Glen runs from Thursday 26th October to Sunday 12th November.
