PFT Awarded Three Years’ Regular Funding

Pitlochry Festival Theatre (PFT) is pleased that its application to Creative Scotland’s 2018-21 network of Regularly Funded Organisations has been successful. Receiving this three-year funding agreement is a strong endorsement of PFT’s achievements in recent years, when it has focused on growing the ambition, scale and range of the work it produces.

Kris Bryce, Pitlochry Festival Theatre’s Executive Director commented

“As PFT contributes up to £20m to Scotland’s economy annually, and every public pound invested in PFT produces a return of between £17 and £20, this most recent expression of support from Creative Scotland offers PFT a strong platform for its creative and capital development plan, Vision 2021. PFT’s development is a part of the region’s Tay Cities Deal and PFT continues to look forward to forthcoming decisions for this major investment plan.”

The famous Theatre in the Hills is currently recruiting a new Artistic Director who will be responsible for continuing to drive the theatre’s artistic vision and ambition.

Kris added “We are pleased that our ambitions and development plans resonate with Creative Scotland’s ambitions for the broader Scottish sector, and multi-year funding offers a level of certainty to our plans for the future.”
