Stellar Quines has released four new Letters To... films, supported by Pitlochry Festival Theatre.
For this call out during COVID-19 lockdown, four themes were offered for writers to pick from when drafting their Letters To... These themes were chosen to reflect this precarious and pertinent moment in history, and were inspired by the work of The Fawcett Society to ensure women’s visibility during lockdown.
Nearly 100 submissions were received – the most ever had for a Letters to… call out. Your letters addressed the themes in a variety of ways, speaking to and celebrating a diverse range of woman during COVID-19: moving, witty, honest, powerful and inspiring to read – it was really difficult to select just four to film with professional actors.
We are pleased to announce the writers whose letters were chosen:
The four new Letters to… films have been created in partnership with Pitlochry Festival Theatre and four performers from the 2020, now 2021, ensemble: Felicity Sparks, Liz Ewing, Rachael McAllister and Blythe Jandoo, and two Associate Directors, Caitlin Skinner and Amy Liptrott.
