Adrenaline-fueled launch for Winter Words!

The famous Winter Words literary festival kicks off this Friday 10th February at Pitlochry Festival Theatre. The festival promises another jam-packed programme – expect adventure, crime, poetry, music, politics and much, much more!

Adrenaline junkies and film-makers, take note – our adventure-led opening weekend is one not-to-be-missed. On Friday at 7.30pm, Paul Diffley – who has filmed some of the world’s best climbers, such as Tom Randall and Pete Whittaker – will talk about his film-making process, illustrated with clips. The action continues on Saturday when the prestigious Banff Mountain Film Festival presents another selection of jaw-dropping, epic short-films. This year, two programmes of different short films will be shown – 2pm & 7pm.

The great minds in the Winter Words line-up include politician Vince Cable, BBC’s Coast host Nicholas Crane, crime author Christopher Brookmyre and sporting legend and BBC Radio Scotland presenter John Beattie.
