PFT is delighted to welcome back the award-winning balletLORENT, whose outstanding previous performances of both Rapunzel and Snow White played to packed houses here at Pitlochry. This time, they return with the beloved tale of Rumpelstiltskin, directed by Liv Lorent and retold by the Poet Laureate, Carol Ann Duffy.

A dance theatre performance packed full of action and humour, this emotionally rich fairytale is set in the rural world of sheep, straw, wool and spinning, where the alchemist, Rumpelstiltskin, is outcast until he is revealed to be “the true prince that he was”.

With a score by Doctor Who composer Murray Gold, costumes designed by Michele Clapton (Game of Thrones), and narration by actor Ben Crompton, this is dance theatre for 21st century audiences.

Co-produced by Northern Stage and Sadler’s Wells, and made in Newcastle with the world-class inimitable balletLORENT dancers and a local intergenerational cast. Suitable for ages 7+
