Widely recognised as the compelling vocalist of Celtic supergroup Capercaillie, Karen Matheson’s (OBE) astonishing career spans more than 30 years.
Having produced four acclaimed solo albums, her latest offering, Urram, is a musical love letter to her families’ Hebridean roots.

Karen has been involved in numerous collaborations including the award-winning BBC series, Transatlantic Sessions where over the last decade she has filmed tracks with artists like James Taylor, Emmylou Harris, The McGarrigle Sisters, Nanci Griffith and Paul Brady. Other collaborations include Algerian singer, Idir, Portuguese star, Dulce Pontes and as lead vocalist with Breton guitarist, Dan Ar Braz’s super-group, Heritage de Celts.
