Sense and Sensibility - LIVE rehearsed reading

by Jane Austen, adapted by Frances Poet.

Ever wondered what it’s like to be in the rehearsal room with professional actors and their director?
Would you love the fly-on-the-wall opportunity to feel the energy and excitement as a script is brought to life during the early readthrough process?

In a series of rehearsed readings, produced in collaboration with Watford Palace Theatre, you have the rare chance to watch professional actors practising their craft, in an entertaining script-in-hand reading of a classic play.

SPACES LIMITED - only 40 'seats' available.

The rehearsed reading will take place via Zoom, and a Q&A session with the director and cast will follow the reading.

YOU DO NOT NEED TO DOWNLOAD ZOOM TO TAKE PART.

The death of their father throws sisters Elinor and Marianne Dashwood’s privileged world into chaos.  With no entitlement to his estate, they rely on their brother John to provide, however this is not without its own complications, and the sisters must learn responsibility whilst also dealing with the trials and tribulations of life.

Published anonymously in 1811, Jane Austen’s first novel explored the tensions of Austen’s times. Adapted by award-winning Scottish playwright, Frances Poet (Fibres, Adam, Gut) expect biting wit, romance and heart-breaking tenderness.
