‘We create award winning craft chocolate, connecting our customers with the whole process and origin through transparent trade. Our mission is to create fine flavour chocolate whilst protecting biodiversity and rewarding farmers with a high price for their cacao. We purchase organic agro-forestry cacao from farms mostly in South and Central America. The cacao we use has been fermented and dried to an exceptional standard by the growers at origin. Only through these careful post harvest processes can the best flavours of the chocolate be brought to life.”
“Hello. We’re Andy and Marta, proud founders of Edinburgh Honey Co. We’ve been keeping bees in Scotland since 2017, and our range of honey is all jarred, packed, and shipped by hand using recycled materials and only the best honey untouched by additives, syrups, or preservatives.
Beekeeping has been in my family for two generations, and it’s our goal to share the wonderful craft my grandfather introduced me to with the city we now call home. Come and find us in our shop on 178 Easter Rd and try our range of healthy raw honey, innovative infusions, and crafted beeswax candles.”
“We protect and care for places so people and nature can thrive. We look after hundreds of houses and close to a million objects, along with vast areas of coastline, countryside and green spaces, for everyone’s benefit. With our staff, members, volunteers and supporters, we’re the biggest conservation charity in Europe. Everyone can get involved, everyone can make a difference.”
Joe & Dawn Reade were fresh-faced and naïve young graduates when they started baking bread in a converted garage in Tobermory in 1994. In 1996 they bought a shop premises on Tobermory’s colourful Main Street, which became the Island Bakery Delicatessen. It was through stocking the deli with tempting speciality foods that Dawn realized that there was a bit of a gap in the market for tempting organic biscuits. Keen to make something that could travel beyond Mull, the Reades thought that biscuits seemed to be an excellent product to introduce to places beyond the island’s shores.
We reinvest all profits from our shop into our stage productions, making any purchase a very rewarding way to show your support.
