Pitlochry is a Theatre for All

PFT works hard to be a Theatre for Lifetime. Our vision is to bring Pitlochry to the world and the world to Pitlochry. To achieve that, our mission is to create great performances that excite, engage and challenge; to inspire imaginations, adventure and a sense of belonging; and to nurture an environment in which we, our audiences and all of our communities can connect and grow together. In everything we do, we behave with respect, empathy and integrity and, in every situation, we foster creativity, collaboration and inspiration.

Baby, Dementia-Friendly and Relaxed Performances

These performances are specifically designed to welcome parents, carers and their babies, as well as people with an autistic spectrum condition, learning disability or Dementia to experience theatre. These performances are for anyone who feels that they, or their family, would enjoy a more relaxed environment.

What’s different and what’s involved in these performances?

These performances have a less formal, more supportive atmosphere to reduce anxiety levels. There is a relaxed attitude to audience noise and movement. We make small changes to the sound levels and lighting effects and there will be extra, trained staff on hand to help and assist you.

Once we return you will be able to purchase tickets and ask for more information, please call our Box Office on 01796 484626 or visit our online information page.

We also have Captioned and BSL-interpreted performances, and for visually-impaired visitors, we have an Audio Description service which can be provided for any performance. We also endeavour to arrange Touch Tours before a performance (subject to availability). You’ll just need to talk to Box Office in advance

If there’s another aspect of your theatre experience we could help with to make a positive difference to you, please do get in touch, we’d love to hear from you!
