Don Roberto: The Adventure of Being Cunninghame Graham

Best known as the co-founder of the Scottish Labour Party, Don Roberto (RB Cunninghame Graham, 1852-1936), led an extraordinary life.

In his first biography, Don Roberto, James Jauncey explores the life of his great-great-uncle, the prolific writer, visionary, horseman, adventurer, and humanitarian.

The Perthshire-based author and musician has previously written novels for adults and children. Formerly a board director of the Edinburgh International Book Festival, and chair of the Society of Authors in Scotland, he is a co-founder of creative writing for business programme, Dark Angels, and runs a personal development programme, The Stories We Tell, with his wife Sarah.

In Don Roberto, Jauncey takes the opportunity to ask why a man who has stood for many things which still resonate loudly today and whose legacy includes founding the Scottish National Party, remains largely overlooked in his native Scotland?
