Calling all budding von Trapp family children!

We are thrilled to announce that we are opening auditions for the roles of the von Trapp family children in our upcoming Winter stage production of The Sound of Music.

Auditions will be in sessions lasting an hour and a half. Please book your young person only on one session. There is space for 25 young people in each and once the session is fully booked we are unable to accept any more young people onto it.

We are looking for children and young people aged between 6 and 16 years old to audition for the iconic roles of the von Trapp children – Friedrich, Louisa, Kurt, Brigitta, Marta and Gretl. No acting experience is required but a love of singing is a must.

All attendees will be asked to sing and dance in a group and read from a script – no preparation is required!

We will be casting teams of six young people to appear as the von Trapp family from 14 November to 21 December 2025.

Once you have booked a session, you will be sent a form to complete a couple of days before the audition. There may be a recall audition on Wednesday 7 May.
