Children are the future at our Theatre for a Lifetime

We don’t call ourselves a Theatre for a Lifetime for nothing!

It’s a special feeling when children come to visit – after all, they’re our future. Our season of performances will always include family-friendly events and shows that aim to excite and inspire every age group. From outdoor, riverside spectaculars like 2021’s The Wind in the Willows, to relaxed indoor performances that provide a welcoming space for people with babies, we love creating a playground for the theatre audience of tomorrow.

Of course, we don’t stop there. We also know how much children love to take part, so we host a full programme of events and activities that aim to inspire creativity – Inside, Outside and Online! Whether it’s storytelling, drawing, writing or acting, our interactive performances and workshops encourage audience participation from the whole family. We’ll even show you how to build your own Theatre in a Tent!
