Autumn/Winter 2021 is announced!

We are delighted to announce our Autumn/Winter 2021 Programme.

The Pitlochry Festival Theatre Programme for this Autumn and Winter has something for everyone.  After our hugely successful Summer Programme, we wanted to offer you some fantastic opportunities both virtual and live, to experience some fantastic shows.

VIRTUAL - SOUND STAGE

The last two plays in our season of Sound Stage are History by Roy Williams and Who are You? by Timberlake Wertenbaker.

History (24 - 26 September 2021) will be delivered in our brand-new audio-digital platform with The Royal Lyceum Edinburgh and Naked Productions and directed by Ben Occhipinti, Associate Director for Pitlochry Festival Theatre.

History will give audiences a kaleidoscopic portrait of Black Britain over the last 40 years.  Told through a series of monologues and duologues, it tells the story of a country still reeling from the events of the Brixton riots in 1981, 9/11, Black Lives Matter, Brexit and Covid, as seen as through the eyes of an extended Black British family living in London, attempting to finding meaning in their lives.

Timberlake Wertenbaker's SOUND STAGE Première Who Are You?(29 - 31 October 2021) will be directed by Amy Liptrott, Associate Director at Pitlochry Festival Theatre.

Timberlake’s play will be a drama about the state of the world and our relationship to nature and environment. Known for works like Our Country’s Good and The Love of the Nightingale we know it will be witty, provocative and profound.
