Summer Evening, Pitlochry by Coln O’Brien

COLM O’BRIEN After two decades as a successful musician and singer, Edinburgh-born Colm O’Brien picked up a paintbrush again and is now known for his bold acrylic paintings of Scotland’s cities, rural and landscapes. His work challenges the eye; taking you on a journey as subtle flicks of a colour subconsciously lead you from the foreground into the heart of the subject. It is a skill he executes to perfection; earning him recognition for this distinct style and detail. Colm simply takes you to somewhere you know and shows it in a new light.

Colm is delighted to exhibit at Pitlochry Festival Theatre for a second year, particularly as one of his paintings sold now hangs in Canada, where he is popular. His work is also collected throughout the UK, and in Europe, Australia, USA, Asia, and the Arab Emirates.  Colm regularly undertakes private commissions.
