Peter AllamEdinburgh bred and schooled, on his return from war service peter trained at the Glasgow School of Art and qualified in Architecture and in 1985 being elected a Fellow of the RIAS. Peter has  a lifetime enthusiasm for historic and ‘listed’ building conservation and restoration that for all his professional life had constituted a major part of his private practice until retiring in 2008. Sometime Director of the Saltire Society and for several years the Housing Awards Panel Secretary. Townscape, mountains and coastline all affect his work in watercolour, acrylics and pen and ink. As a founder of the Scottish Society of Architect Artists, in addition to exhibiting with the SSAA in Edinburgh, Glasgow, Forfar, Ayr and West Kilbride he has also shown with the associated Societies, Ligne et Couleur in Paris and Stuttgart, Architetti Artivisti AAA in Verona and Venice also with SARP in Warsaw and at other galleries in Scotland. He is pleased to be exhibiting for the fourth year in our gallery.
